Matt & Geneva | Alaskan Coastal Wedding

It was one of those really special moments in a career where you get to work with someone whom you’ve known and loved forever.

I was over the moon when Geneva reached out about photographing her wedding. I was eager to return back to Alaska and to be able to capture their wedding would just be icing on the cake!

Matt had these incredible cufflinks that had been in the family for 150+ years. It was really amazing to photograph these special pieces and watch as him mom put them on. I love when details have such rich meaning and importance.

Geneva also had a few special pieces to add from her grandmothers wedding ring, portraits of her grandmother in the room she got ready. She choose to get ready in her childhood home, with a just a few people she loved.

Their first look was so sweet and authentic. I choose to say nothing and be as incognito as I could to let them have those moments to themselves and let all the emotions come out naturally and candidly.

They choose to get married with just a few family members under the canopy at South Beach. It was a perfect backdrop for a couple who spend so much time in nature. After their intimate ceremony, they shared a glass of champagne and toasts. Everything about it was sweet and peaceful.

Their reception at the Fish House was a perfect way to celebrate with the rest of their dear family and friends. The food was amazing, the space was so iconic Alaskan and the light poured in over everyone.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to capture Matt & Geneva on their special day. All my love & blessings your way!

xoxo,

Lindsey
