LETS GET PERSONAL | aight?

sometimes, late at night, sleep is no where to be found. sometimes, there exists a connection with words, with photographs, and with memories. some of these memories are longings, of missing souls. some of them are in present time and downright delightful. In the last few years, I’ve  I’ve been most inspired and in awe of the lives of my family. I’ve went inward.I’ve returned home to tell the stories of what is dearest to my heart.

If you haven’t thought about the contributions that we inherit from those generations ahead of you,  do it. If it’s been a bit since you’ve phoned a relative, go ahead, pick up the phone. I had been wanting to photograph my grandparents for the last few years. I talked about but never made the time to do it. And then, she was gone. I missed an opportunity that I wished I hadn’t.

Looking at this session, reminded me of a left my mother wrote .My mother has a attention-grabbing way of writing about her mother and when grandma passed, she wrote 22 lessons her mother taught her that make me nod in the direction that we are here on this earth to be connective forces, to learn from one another, to grow, to share.

LESSON 21:

“Live your life intentionally. Intent to be loving, kind and just. Intend to be generous an also intents to not be enabling with your generosity. Be careful about that. Always be forgiving with a capital F. Forgive another 7×7 and then square that. Throw your blanket of forgiveness  far and wide. “do something, even if it’s wrong”. What she meant “do something” about whatever the problem and just that effort alone will get you going down the the right path even if your first action wasn’t exactly the right one. You will find your way just by trying. ”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> now back to pictures.
